We have a winner!

Evan's new favorite toy.  He's been sick for the past two weeks or so (103 temp and bronchiolitis), this is about the only thing that makes him laugh and smile.

Rice Cereal, cont'd

We've refined our techniques a bit.  We thicken the cereal up some and feed him in the bouncy chair. it's still messy. The garbage bag pulled over the chair is not at all white trash.

All cleaned up.  Except the pants.

Reading

Evan takes his reading very seriously. As my grandmother Mare used to say...."He's clearly gifted".

Rice Cereal

Since Evan's hands provide no nutritional value, we decided to start him on rice cereal this week.  It's really more like runny paste than cereal, but hopefully it results in some consistent night time sleeping (for all of us).  It was messy at first and Evan was a bit skeptical about the spoon (shocking since he's skeptical about everything)...but eventually he took to it.  Holding the bowl under his chin like a trough helped.

It was a rough start.

We figured it out after some time.

In the end...it's back to old faithful.

Pure Excitement

For Christmas, a friend gave Evan a musical toy that has constant flashing lights.  When this thing gets going...he has no idea what to do with himself.  No matter how loud he's screaming or how hard he's crying, the second those lights start flashing....Evan locks in and usually starts shaking with excitement.  Oh, and sometimes he blows snot bubbles.
