First Trip

Evan's first trip outside of the house was a success.  Given his dramatic entrance into the world, the pediatrician wanted to see him ASAP after we got home.  Monday afternoon we packed up the diaper bag, took a few calming deep breaths, and used the car seat for the first time.  Evan wasn't super excited at first and treated us to his super red "hot face".  Usually we're not sure if this face means he's about to cry or about to poop.  In this case, it was the former.  After some readjustments and rigging some towels to keep his head in place, the Martins hit the road.  A clean bill of health and only a few minutes of crying on the way home equaled an incredibly successful first trip.
